Road Traffic Accidents

We all know that we have to careful whilst driving however, if someone does not drive carefully then they may cause a Road Traffic Accident (RTA).

The consequences of a RTA can vary dramatically, from very minor cuts and bruises, to life changing or even fatal injuries.

If you are unfortunate enough to be injured in a RTA which was not your fault, you could be entitled to make a road traffic accident claim. These claims are normally against the negligent driver's motor insurer.

What if I cannot contact their insurer?

If you are unfortunate enough to be involved in an RTA where you do not know who the driver is as they have fled the scene, OR the driver did not have motor insurance, then the Motor Insurance Bureau have a scheme that will meet your claim on the same terms of compensation as if there were an insurer.
