How long does a transaction take?

We usually estimate that a transaction will take six to eight weeks however, like in all things, some matters may be speedier and some longer, it is all dependant on the nature of the transaction.

When carrying out your purchase the main stages are:

  • Obtain redemption figure to find out how much is required to be paid
  • Collect funds from you together with evidence of funds
  • Complete the transaction
  • Redeem the Charge held over the property
  • Ensure the Charge and any subsequent entries are removed from HM Land Registry register of title
