Maya joined BHP Law as a Solicitor Apprentice in September 2024 after completing her A-levels. Maya works four days a week and studies one day a week at Northumbria University, where she is working towards completing her degree and preparing to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations in years five and six of the apprenticeship.

In her first year of the Solicitor Apprenticeship, Maya has been working in our Dispute Resolution team, assisting with issues such as landlord and tenant matters, debt recovery, and contentious probate. Whilst in this team, Maya has had the opportunity to draft legal documents, attend court hearings, and sit in on client meetings.
