BHP Law has proudly taken part in the North East Autism Society's (NEAS) Great Festive Bake Off, helping to raise funds for their ‘Little Stars’ appeal.
This initiative, organised by NEAS, with the support and backing of other local businesses, hopes to raise £5000 to help fund toddler groups, providing free, safe spaces for autistic children to play, build confidence, and make friends throughout 2025.
BHP Law colleagues donned their aprons and created showstopping bakes to compete for the coveted title of ‘Star Baker’. Adding to the excitement, a local celebrity was on-site to taste the showstopper bakes! The winner received the prestigious ‘Royle Handshake’ from the legendary Pam Royle, one of the North East's most renowned TV news presenters and journalists.
The event was an absolute delight for everyone involved. Not only did it provide a wonderful start to the Christmas festivities, but it also brought immense fun to everyone involved. Best of all, we successfully raised much-needed funds, and the delicious baked treats were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
Director of Operations, Kieran Dolaghan said, "Participating in the North East Autism Society's Great Festive Bake Off was great fun. We're thrilled to support the 'Little Stars' appeal and contribute to a cause that makes such a positive impact on our community. Our team has shown tremendous enthusiasm and generosity, and we're proud to stand alongside NEAS in making a difference for autistic children and their families."
NEAS Chief Executive, John Phillipson, added: “It’s been heart-warming to see so many businesses and individuals supporting our Little Stars appeal and we can’t thank them enough for rising to the challenge.”
