Maya joined BHP Law as a Solicitor Apprentice in September 2024 after completing her A-levels. She works four days a week and studies one day a week at Northumbria University, where she is working towards completing her degree and preparing to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations in years five and six of the apprenticeship.

During her first year, Maya worked in our Dispute Resolution team, assisting with matters such as landlord and tenant issues, debt recovery, and contentious probate. While in this team, she had the opportunity to draft legal documents, attend court hearings, and sit in on client meetings.

She has now joined the Court of Protection (Health & Welfare) team, where she continues to build her legal experience and support vulnerable individuals through complex and sensitive matters.
