Maariyah is currently a Trainee Solicitor completing the LPC alongside her training contract. Maariyah was awarded a distinction in the GDL in 2021 whilst working as a Legal Assistant in the Family Department at VCW Law. She began her training contract in March 2022 which involved managing her own case load. Maariyah has represented parents’ in pre-proceedings, Care Proceedings and Child Arrangements Order Proceedings, appearing before District Judges and Magistrates. A typical day involves the preparation of court documents such as statements, appointments with clients and analysis of evidence filed by other parties.
Maariyah commenced her seat within the Court of Protection department in January 2023.

Maariyah joined BHP Law in January 2023 where she continues the remainder of her training contract, and is on track to qualify as a solicitor at the end of 2023.
