Ellie joined BHP Law in September 2020 as a Solicitor Apprentice in our Court of Protection team. Since then, she has gained experience across several departments, including Court of Protection, Family (Public & Private), Dispute Resolution, and Debt Recovery. Throughout her training, Ellie has handled a complex caseload spanning a range of matters, developing a wealth of legal knowledge and expertise over her five years with us.

Ellie has recently transitioned to work across our Commercial teams to complete the final elements of her training.

In December 2024, Ellie graduated from Northumbria University with First-Class Honours in Law & Legal Practice. In recognition of her outstanding academic performance, she was placed on Northumbria University’s honour roll. Ellie is now preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams, aiming to qualify as a solicitor in 2026 upon completing her apprenticeship.

Alongside her legal training and studies, Ellie is passionate about fostering opportunities for aspiring lawyers. She established our Year 12 & 13 Work Experience Programme, which now runs annually.
